With over 20 years of experience in the social work field, Charles Cox LCSW-R provides psychoeducation to families about social assistance, adoption, foster care, and in-home child assessments.
Mr. Cox has over 16 years of experience conducting in-home child safety assessments and written court reports. Mr. Cox is an approved provider on the Mental Health Professional Panel for the State of New York Appellate Division Supreme Court to conduct Adoption Home Studies.
OUR SERVICES
At the beginning of your adoption journey, the first element to complete is a home study. Whether you chose to file for an adoption (Domestic or Independent), foster parent application or request to have a child placed in your home, the adoption home study is needed. The home study is a detailed report that represents your family in court or with a foreign authority for approval. A home study report provides a background biographical profile summary that includes but is not limited to information about you, your home, your lifestyle, emotional readiness for adoption, financial status, and health,. During the home study process, I will also provide you with information and resources to make sure you are well prepared for parental adoption.
